You don't need to setup the oCam-1MGN-U-T to be controlled by an external trigger signal.

The control is performed in a manner of hardware signal.
In other words, the external trigger signal overrides the internal timing of the image sensor and the camera will capture the image as it is controlled by the trigger signal.
If there is no trigger signal applied, the timing logic controls the image acquisition timing.
